Penguins and Polar Bears in the Arctic... OH MY!!!

Greetings friends and fellow crafters.
LeeAnn here with another card using the super awesome Arctic Animals kit from Scrapping For Less. This kit went live yesterday and there is a blog hop going on right now, so please be sure to play along right here!!!
In the mean time I just had to stop by with another card I made using these cute little critters.

Now as you can see my cute penquins are peaking out from behind the igloo as the awesome little bear is splashing by. Well, the sentiment "Missing You is Unbearable" just seemed to fit since Penguins and Polar Bears are literally POLAR OPPOSITES. With the Polar Bears living up near the Arctic Circle in the Northern Hemisphere and the Penguins down in the Southern Hemisphere along the coast of Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands. (bet ya didn't think you were going to get a science lesson huh). Some trivia like this I enjoy.

So in my imagination, these two cute little penguins decided to take a trip and search for the elusive Polar Bear they had heard about at the Colony Day School for Penguins. So these little guys jumped about a cruise ship that was bringing humans to the Galapogos for a visit, and from there they waddled their way to the airport and stowed away on a plane traveling to Los Angeles, California, where they boarded another ship to Alaska. These little guys were taking such a fun journey, but in the end after all the ups and downs in flying, trying to find their way around to get to the cruise terminal from the airport, then once in Alaska trying to find the elusive Polar Bear... The penguins decided that while wanted to see it, they weren't sure what would happen. Will the bear be friendly or frightening. Will the bear play with them, or have them for breakfast... So, the penguins waddle around, and hear splashing coming from the water... they duck behind the igloo and peek out to see what they could see. And what they found coming down the stream, floating on a piece of ice that had broken away from a glacier was an elusive baby bear... Stay tuned until next time to find out what happens!!!

How I made my card... The paper is part of Collection 1 from the kit, special edition by Alexandra Ranke. The igloo is from Collection 4 Arctic Animals by LDRS. The penguins, bear and floating ice are from Collection 3 by Pink & Main. The Sentiment is from the Scrapping For Less Arctic Sentiments set which is from the Banana Split Level.

Image may contain: text

December’s kit is all about Arctic Animals…Now if you are anything like me, you hate the cold weather, snow, and anything that would mean being cold. However, snow and these cute little critters in this kit are all about fun!

So grab your warm beverage, sit back, and hop along with us to see these adorable critters and all the inspiration our designers have to share.

My unboxing video...

Now that you have seen what is in the kits... here are the projects I made...
This is actually the last card I made, and I love it most of all. This little bear is so cute, and using the back of each of the pattern papers to make my banner sentiments just worked for me. I used the purple glitter marker from the Banana Split bag to color my bears scarf.
Ok, I can never get a shaker element in a kit and NOT use it. This is the first project I made with this kit and think it turned out so cute. This worked for me with one of the sketches, and putting the little penguin right there in the cup with those cute sequins worked perfectly. I used the purple glitter pen around the edges of the cup, and the purple ribbon from collection one on this card as well. There are a few sequins scattered on my card as well.
This set was just too cute, and I really had a hard time deciding what to do. But having watched some video's the week before about coloring igloo's and wanting to try it myself... that was a must to be on my card. And the sentiment just worked with the Owl on and then the foxes in the background paper.
This little guy was so fun to work with. He looks so relaxed and "COOL" floating out there on the block of ice. I used glitter paper from my stash to make not only the water but the sky behind the mountains. I did heat emboss the sentiment on the front of this card panel.

Check out the Flavor of the Month page to place your order if you haven’t subscribed. Also, don’t forget to check the A La Carte items (items that are leftover (full packs and such) from putting the kits together, and other items that we have on the website that may coordinate with this kit.

Now that you have seen my projects, the hop continues...
NEXT UP... Courtney!!!

Make sure you also put your name in for that Rafflecopter prize!

Love Story with White Rose Crafts (January Card Kit)

Image may contain: text that says 'whiterosecraftsllc.com Love Story January Subscription Kit White Rose Crafts'

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with my first post promoting the WRC January 2019 Card Kit.
This kit was a welcome after having made so many Christmas cards, I was really ready for a change up. I just wish I had not been sick so I could have made more than two cards for this post.

First up is my unboxing video, which I was able to do before the bug hit...

My 2019 crafty goal is to redo my studio which will include a spot ONLY for making video's and taking photos.

For my first card, I grabbed the stamp set and ink pad that came with the kit and started having fun. I used my stamp platform and figured out where to put the letters, then after stamping them out, I used an acrylic block to stamp the hearts around. Mounted this on a base using the Shimmer paper and done.
For this card I used the Shimmer paper as my base, the opalescent paper as my under layer then added 2 border stickers from the included sticker kit. A few well placed roses and I had also used the shimmer paper to cut out a heart with the included die from this kit.

I'm really happy that I was able to make 2 complete cards by only adding adhesive and 2 panels of white card stock. Everything else used for these cards came in this great kit.

Coming up soon will be more cards using this kit as I have a lot more ideas, this bug is finally going away and I can sit and create.

Have fun crafting and don't forget to like, subscribe and comment.

I hope you have enjoyed this projects today. Please see the great products available at the White Rose Crafts online store.

Scrapping For Less, Christmas Trimmings by Sunny Studios

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with a post using Sunny Studios Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set from Scrapping For Less.

Sometimes layering sets make me nervous, and this time was no exception, however once I started playing there was just no stopping me.
I grabbed my container of Memento Dew Drop inks and figured out which colors I thought may work well together. For the darker leaves I used Northern Pine, Olive Grove and Pistachio. For the lighter leaves I used Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves and Northern Pine. For the Berries I used Love Letter and Elderberry.

Once I had that completed I set it aside and using a piece of Vellum 4" x 1" I used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and VersaMark Ink to stamp the Merry Christmas Sentiment. I used Recollections Gold Embossing Powder and my heat tool to set it. Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive I adhered this panel to my stamped panel.

My underlayer is Gold Mirror Cardstock from my stash, and all of this is adhered to a 4.25"x5.5" top folding card base.

Image may contain: text that says 'White Rose Crafts LLC Theme Week Dec 8th-Dec 14th New Ideas With NUVO whiterosecraftsllc.com'
Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with a couple projects I made for White Rose Crafts using Nuvo Drops through a stencil and some great projects that make great add ons with the December Card Kit
This cute little tag was made using Lawn Fawn's Winter Skies stamp set. I used Nuvo "Sea Breeze" Jewel Drops through a Heffy Doodle Snow Drift stencil. The images and sentiment are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. My background is using Broken China Distress Oxide and  the scarf is colored with Chameleon Crimson Red marker.
This card was made using Wild Rose Studio paper  (Festive Florals) as the background with the same Heffy Doodle stencil and Nuvo Sea Breeze Jewel Drops. The image (Jolly Reindeer) is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Chameleon Markers in various colors. I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the image. Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive I attached the image to the base.

The Greeting Farm and Scrapping For Less... Holiday Wishes!!!

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with a Scrapping For Less design team project, and a process video as I made this card.

I do not make video's very often as I am making my cards, and if you see my voice is shaky you will know why. I never have been good with public speaking, and am quite shy until I get to know someone. So... please don't be too harsh.

Coffee Oasis Blog Hop- WRC Sponsor Project

Greetings Friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with another project for the Coffee Oasis Blog Hop happening this week. I am so happy that one of my design teams is a sponsor for this hop, and so used some of the Kat Scrappiness Dies along with Paper, Ink and Stamps from White Rose Crafts to put this card together.
For the project I used Pink/Blue and Purple Scrapberry Stain's Ink to not only stamp the three snowflakes but also to color the Ho Ho Ho die cut. The background stripped paper is also from Scrapberry, and the sentiment and snowflakes are from  Dovecrafts Magic & Sparkle stamp set (all of which are in the White Rose Crafts December Card Kit (for the ink it is only the purple). The Ho Ho Ho die and the Distressed Edge die are from Kat Scrappiness. My final touches on this card were some Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground "Very Merry".

New Year New You and White Rose Crafts!!!

Image may contain: text
Greetings friends and fellow crafters. The holidays are upon us and before you know it 2019 will be here. With that in mind this week at WRC we are spotlighting New Years projects.
I decided to continue using cut aparts and paper from the December 2018 Card Kit (shipping now) and came up with 2 cards. I could have done more but really ran out of time (my fault, I took time off work and spent it with my grandchildren at Busch Gardens, then when I had my real day off I had house stuff to do before husband leaves again for another week or two).
For this first card I used pattern paper from the kit, one of the cut aparts, a peeloff from the sticker sheet a bow and then some bakers twine from my stash.
For this card it was literally just pattern paper and a cut apart, all layered and added to a card base.
To be honest, sometimes these quick and simple cards are just as nice as the stamped, colored, and all. I think adding anything to this image would have detracted from the scene.

So New Year New You... for me, I am not going to stress... I have had way too much stress in 2018 and I am ready for it to end. Some of it was self imposed and other was brought by others. I just have to LET IT GO!!! So, for 2019, I will be letting things go more, rather than holding them in and letting them drain me. Craft wise, I plan to try at least one new technique a month, make at least one process video for you tube a month as well.

I hope you have enjoyed this projects today. Please see the great products available at the White Rose Crafts online store.

Good Glidings, from White Rose Crafts and YNS

Image may contain: text
Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here today with a project I made using "Your Next Stamp" products from White Rose Crafts.

To make this project I used the Glad Glidings Stamp set which I colored with Chameleon Markers. I also used the "Skating Rink Scene" die set which I used double side tape and WOW brand Fab Foil in Turquoise. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink in the background to give it a slight color. My final touch was adding a few sequins from the "Frozen" Sparkle Blends mix.

Use the code: YNS 10 in the store for 10% off the Your Next Stamp line of products.

Merry Christmas, From Scrapping For less and IndigoBlu

Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with a brand focus post using IndigoBlu's "Ickle Christmas Tree".

I decided to do something different for a change and made an easel card. This card is fairly easy to make, I cut an 8.5" x 11" sheet of cardstock and cut in half longways to be 4.25" x 11". I then used my scoreboard to make it an A2 size card base top folding 4.25" x 5.5". I then scored again on one end at 2.75", this is what makes the easel part. After I made the panel with the Tree, I added this to the lower part of the card base with double stick tape. This allows the card to fold flat for mailing, and rise up for show when it arrives at its destination home.
The wood present is there to stop the top part from sliding closed.
My background paper is from the October FOTM kit, as is the wooden present. I stamped the image using a green dye ink from my stash, and colored the ornaments on the tree using Wink of Stella and Wink of Luna markers in Blue, Maroon and Gold.
The Snowflakes around the tree were stamped also with the green dye ink, and then covered with Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops. The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's "Happy Happy Happy" add on stamp set.
