Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with a fun project I made using the Penny Black "I Heart You" stamp set from Scrapping For Less.
I really had a great time making this project. I decided to step out of my normal comfort zone and step it up a bit.
When I first saw this stamp set an idea hit, and I just went with it. I grabbed my alcohol inks, I only own six colors other than Silver and Gold. So... I dropped the colors I did have (Watermelon Red, Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Citrus Green, Sail Boat and Purple Twilight followed up with Watermelon Red again) in rainbow order across a piece of Yupo paper.
I then used Blending solution to mix the colors together.
Adding solution, more color, solution and more color letting dry in between to see where I needed more.
I was extremely happy with the final result.
I then stamped my image with MFT Extreme Black ink and colored with alcohol markers. Once complete I used a stitched rectangle die to cut my background panel and my Scan n Cut to cut my image. I used Versamark ink to stamp the sentiment on black cardstock, and heat embossed with Darice Whispers Orange embossing powder.
