Joy Clair July Blog Hop 2016

July is upon us, and here we are looking forward to the fireworks in just a few days. Fourth of July celebrations here in the United States is what inspired my first project for this month.

Using the Uh-Oh Ink Splatter Collection, I was able to come up with this fun project.

First thing I did was grab my handy dandy Stampoholic Nano and place the cardstock so that I would be able to repeat the impression of the paint swipe stamp across three times. Using Stampabilities Royal Blue pigment ink I did the first stamp in the top left corner. Using Craftsmart Red pigment ink I did the swipes. By using the Nano I was able to repeat the impression in the exact spot if the ink didn't clearly transfer. Once this all came together, I used the "You Make Me Brave" sentiment from the "Worship Him" set to finish off the card. I really hope you enjoy my project as much as I enjoyed making it for you.

Here is another card using the same "Uh-Oh Ink Splatter" stamp set.
Using various colors of Amuse Pigment Inks and sequins from Kat Scrappiness's "Trix" collection this card came together quite quick and easily. The "Love You" came from the "Infinity 2" stamp set.

While I am at it, we have had such a tragedy hit here in Florida two weeks ago with the attack at the PULSE Nightclub in Orlando. A group of card makers have started making a collection of cards for the victims and their families. Using the Infinity 2 stamp set along with some Tattered Angels Shimmer Sprays, I was able to put this card together... I first stamped the Infinity Symbol and the word Hope using Versamark Ink, heated it with White embossing powder and went to work with the shimmer sprays. Photo's just do not give this card justice.

Happy 4th of July Weekend

Happy 4th of July Weekend everyone!!! I made a few purchases last week, and this one item was in my brain as soon as I saw it.
I purchased a few dies from Gina over and the Pine Needles struck me as perfect for this card... Cut out of DCWV glitter cardstock and added a few sequins from Kat's Patriotic Mix I knew I had found my happiness. The sentiment is from a no longer available Sentiment set from the now closed Virginia Turtle (gonna miss them).
I hope you have enjoyed this card and please everyone, have a safe and happy holiday weekend.

Joy Clair June Blog Hop

Here we are, a new month and a new Blog Hop. Here at Joy Clair we have some fun designs this month, and I have to say for myself not being one for background stamps much, this one is beautiful. I love the Lovely Swirl Background Stamp.

So I have used it for a project, made a nice birthday card for a very good friend of mine.
I had so much fun with this one. First I stamped up my background stamp using Versamark, and heat embossed with black glitter embossing powder. I then used distress inks to color the background. I used the Wonderland Letters stamp set to make the word Friend, and then did the fan tail cut. Quick and easy and done. The background paper was already cut on the edges. I do have more ideas for this background stamp and will share them later this month with you when I take over the Joy Clair blog.

If you started with my blog, please go to the Joy Clair blog and start at the beginning, if you already hopped along, then Monica's blog will be your next stop.

OH WHAT FUN... welcome to the Celebration Collaboration of Joy Clair, Die-Versions and DL.ART. This project was so fun, and I am so excited to share it with you...

The stamp set used is Joy Clair "OH BABY", the Hot Air Balloon die is from Die-Versions and the ribbon used as clouds is from DL.ART's Baby Bundle. So, I made this card, and was so happy with it, then remembered... I wanted to make it a shaker card. So after a little cardmaking surgery...

We now have a shaker card. I really hope you all enjoy my card.
After sitting here looking at things I decided I wanted to add another project, and I worked on this cute (in my opinion) little note card.
Using the flowers from a Joy Clair set released this month called Prayer Words, the sentiment from Joy Clair's April Showers set. The white ribbon from DL.ART and cutting the sentiment with the Nesting Frame 1 Whispers set from Die-Versions this all came together.
First I used my Stampoholic Nano to position the images and stamp with VersaMark ink. I used Whispers White embossing powder and heat set it. I then used my Gansai Tambi watercolors to take care of the coloring of the flowers and Tim Holtz Distress Inks on the background. Added this panel to a card base and the project was complete.

I am the end of the blog this time around.

If you became lost along the way please go back to the Die-Versions Blog and the whole list for each day will be listed there.

Now here is the list of today's blogs with their links!!
Looks like I am the end of the hop. I hope you have enjoyed the Celebration Blog Hop!! Be sure to leave comments on on all the blogs for a chance at winning one of the many prizes!

Joy Clair May Stamp Release Blog Hop

I have to admit this is probably the most favorite set we have this month for me. Maybe because my daughter and son in law announced to the world yesterday that they are expecting their second child in November. While I have known about this for almost 2 months now it has been hard not to blog and brag, especially because my whole cardmaking hobby started in 2014 when grandchild number 1 was on the way. One of the first cards I made was a Mommy-to-be card for my daughter. SO... needless to say I am excited. NOW, on what what I am supposed to be talking about. This adorable little stamp set from Joy Clair called "OH BABY"...
I am going to share two projects with you, because one just isn't enough. The first one I used the cute little baby in the umbrella along with the It's a Boy! The last 6 children born in our family have been boys, so this is only fitting. I colored the umbrella and baby with watercolor pencils and then covered the front with a sheet of velum. I really like this look on some cards, and for this one it seemed to fit.
This one is just a cutie, little pea in the pod in my favorite color of green. Figuring since it is a gender neutral color this one is perfect when you do not know what gender the child is going to be. Hard to believe some do not want to know ahead of time, but it does happen. This little cutie pea was colored with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Please hop along and visit the rest of the design team members blogs, leave a comment on them all in order to enter to win one of the three $25 gift cards to the Joy Clair Shop.
