OH WHAT FUN... welcome to the Celebration Collaboration of Joy Clair, Die-Versions and DL.ART. This project was so fun, and I am so excited to share it with you...

The stamp set used is Joy Clair "OH BABY", the Hot Air Balloon die is from Die-Versions and the ribbon used as clouds is from DL.ART's Baby Bundle. So, I made this card, and was so happy with it, then remembered... I wanted to make it a shaker card. So after a little cardmaking surgery...

We now have a shaker card. I really hope you all enjoy my card.
After sitting here looking at things I decided I wanted to add another project, and I worked on this cute (in my opinion) little note card.
Using the flowers from a Joy Clair set released this month called Prayer Words, the sentiment from Joy Clair's April Showers set. The white ribbon from DL.ART and cutting the sentiment with the Nesting Frame 1 Whispers set from Die-Versions this all came together.
First I used my Stampoholic Nano to position the images and stamp with VersaMark ink. I used Whispers White embossing powder and heat set it. I then used my Gansai Tambi watercolors to take care of the coloring of the flowers and Tim Holtz Distress Inks on the background. Added this panel to a card base and the project was complete.

I am the end of the blog this time around.

If you became lost along the way please go back to the Die-Versions Blog and the whole list for each day will be listed there.

Now here is the list of today's blogs with their links!!
Looks like I am the end of the hop. I hope you have enjoyed the Celebration Blog Hop!! Be sure to leave comments on on all the blogs for a chance at winning one of the many prizes!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Joy Clair May Stamp Release Blog Hop

I have to admit this is probably the most favorite set we have this month for me. Maybe because my daughter and son in law announced to the world yesterday that they are expecting their second child in November. While I have known about this for almost 2 months now it has been hard not to blog and brag, especially because my whole cardmaking hobby started in 2014 when grandchild number 1 was on the way. One of the first cards I made was a Mommy-to-be card for my daughter. SO... needless to say I am excited. NOW, on what what I am supposed to be talking about. This adorable little stamp set from Joy Clair called "OH BABY"...
I am going to share two projects with you, because one just isn't enough. The first one I used the cute little baby in the umbrella along with the It's a Boy! The last 6 children born in our family have been boys, so this is only fitting. I colored the umbrella and baby with watercolor pencils and then covered the front with a sheet of velum. I really like this look on some cards, and for this one it seemed to fit.
This one is just a cutie, little pea in the pod in my favorite color of green. Figuring since it is a gender neutral color this one is perfect when you do not know what gender the child is going to be. Hard to believe some do not want to know ahead of time, but it does happen. This little cutie pea was colored with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Please hop along and visit the rest of the design team members blogs, leave a comment on them all in order to enter to win one of the three $25 gift cards to the Joy Clair Shop.

Happy Birthday to ME, and my new toy the STAMPOHOLIC Nano

Welcome to the Abyss and hope you enjoy my project. Someone asked me this week what I was going to do for my birthday (Hi Sarah), well this is what I want to do while I am home. Play in my craft room and make more creations. SO, let me tell you about my toy. The Stampoholic Nano is manufactured by my friend Mansi in India. She is a really great person, and hey, don't you love the color? Let me just say this has helped me more than I thought it would. The price was right and in January I purchased it for myself, as an early birthday gift. SO, using the Stampendous stamp and die set I made this card for a great friend of mine, who's birthday happens to be next week. I will be spending part of the day with her today so will give it to her then. Now on with my project.

I didn't show what I did first but that was use the included dies to cut the puppy's body, head and a bone, with my big shot. I then put the Nano to work. First with the body part, I lined the cut out section with the side and bottom of the nano on the inside, then closed down the piece of acetate I have taped to the top. I positioned the stamp in the space and closed the lid to pick the stamp up. I was then able to drop the cut piece in the whole and was assured that the stamp would be in the right spot after inking up and closing down again.

I then did the same with the head and bone.

This is the three parts once stamped out. I then went to work with coloring. First I used Watercolor paper cut to 4.25 x 5.5 and used my distress inks to create the background. Green Clover and Cracked Pistachio were the colors of choice for the grassy area and The sky was created with Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire. I used a baby wipe to blend well and moved on. While that dried I colored my little guy. Chase is the pup I got for my birthday 2 years ago so he is the one I usually end up coloring for my cards. Using my Spectrum Noir Marker True Black I added the black touches, and using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in Mustard I did the bone and Light Gray for Chases body. The fence line and grass is from Seaside Stamps. The ink for the sentiment and the dog/bone images is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and the grass was done with AMuse Studio's Grass color.

As the sentiment says, I feel STAMPOHOLIC Nano is the best ever, thank you so much Mansi for bringing this to us, and making it affordable.

  • The Stampoholic NANO measures 7.25" X 6"  with an inside stamping area of 4.75" X 6"
  • The Stampoholic measures 8" x 10" with an inside stamping area of 6.25" x 8.5"
and soon to come is the Jumbo which will have approximate stamping area of 12" x 12"

Clicking on the link above will take you to my friend Kat's shop which is where my friend the Nano was purchased. Get one today and you to can have a new best stamping friend.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Joy Clair April 2016 Blog Hop

It's a wonderful day here in the Abyss. I had such a great time working on this Mother's Day card for my dear Mother in law.
Using the Joy Clair Mothers Love stamp set and a few items from the Abyss, I was able to have a fun time creating..

First thing was using my Darice embossing folder to take care of the pink card stock from Recollections. I then used a sizzix die to cut it apart. I used the Joy Clair svg file to cut out this cute little grater and stamped it and the sentiment with Gina K Black Onyx. I colored the grater with my IG 1,2,and 4 Spectrum Noir markers and the banner with PP 1, 3 and 5. I then covered it with Glossy Accents to give it the glossy shine. The grater, I then went over with my clear Wink of Stella. I stamped the hearts with Ink It Up red. I then used my ATG to put the creation together with 2 foam bits to hold the grater.
I sure hope you liked my project!!!

We will be giving away THREE $25.00 gift certificate to the Joy Clair store. To be a winner you must comment on JC blog and each DT blog. Increase chances of winning by sharing the blog post with your friends!
All new sets will be on sale April 1st thru midnight April 8th.

Hop along and see what everyone else has done, I am sure you will love them all, I know I do!!!

Joy Clair "Armor of God"

Hi everyone, another great day here in the Abyss. Working with this stamp set was really fun, coming up with ideas and putting them to work. The stamp set is from Joy Clair, and it is called Armor of God, and was part of our March release.

For my card I used the Soldier Stamp, Gina K Black Onyx ink and my Stampoholic Nano to make sure I was able to restamp if necessary. I then used Ink It Up Red to stamp the "Faith" in the middle of the shield. I polished the sword with Silver Glitter "Wink of Stella" and mounted my white Neenah cardstock panel, on Gina K Black Onyx panel, on a Hobby Lobby Paper Studio colored pre-folded card base in Red.

Hope you enjoyed my project and take a look over at the Joy Clair Blog, shop and Pinterest for other great stamps and ideas.

We will be back next week with more new stamps.
