I used Red Poppy Nuvo Hybrid Ink to do my stamping with, and as an added surprise my team mates have not even seen, I used the Chibitronic's "Intro Kit" to amplify the heart, and meaning of the sentiment.
First I cut down my background paper for the size for my base layer. I then affixed the template from the kit with double stick tape so that the light would be where I wanted it.
I then used the copper tape along the pattern lines and added the light at the correct spot per the pattern. I then added the battery (this is not the one from the kit, that one is in a different project), however it is the same size. I do use foam dots as an enclosure for the battery so it does not shift.
I then fold over the end of the template to complete the circuit and my light works.
I then used foam all over my base so that it will be even height. Hindsight would have had me use fun foam double thickness.
I then affixed my top layer, and while I thought I had sized it perfect when everything was being put together, I was off just 1/4" from the center of the heart for the light.
But it is alright, my husband loved it anyway.
And a photo of the final finished project.
I hope you have enjoyed this project today. Please see the great products available at the White Rose Crafts online store.
